Safari in detail
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala, followed by a scenic drive northwards to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos can be tracked on foot.
Accompanied by an experienced ranger, enjoy an unforgettable walking safari as you observe these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, visit the top of the spectacular Murchison Falls where the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters below, creating the most powerful waterfall in the world.
Proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise
Rise early for a morning game drive across the northern sector of the park, renowned for its vast savannah landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Keep your eyes open for Rothschild’s giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and numerous bird species. Predators such as lions and leopards may also be spotted on a lucky day.
After lunch, head to Paraa Jetty for an unforgettable boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, expect to encounter hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, waterbucks, elephants, and a variety of water birds.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and journey southwest through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, rural villages, and lush landscapes.
Arrive in Kibale Forest National Park in the afternoon and check into your lodge.
Later, enjoy a guided excursion to the scenic crater lakes surrounding Kibale, offering breathtaking views and excellent photography opportunities.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience.
Accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, venture into Kibale Forest in search of our closest relatives, sharing approximately 98% of human DNA. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing their fascinating social behaviors.
After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah park.
Arrive in the evening, check in, and relax at your lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Start the day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, one of the park’s richest wildlife viewing areas.
Look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, hyenas, and, with luck, elusive leopards.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers exceptional opportunities to view hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species up close.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After a relaxed breakfast and a brief game viewing opportunity, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Arrive in Buhoma sector in time for lunch before enjoying an enriching Batwa Cultural Experience in the evening, where you’ll learn about the traditions and history of the forest’s original inhabitants.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today marks the highlight of your safari.
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing and allocation to a gorilla family group.
Accompanied by expert rangers and trackers, venture deep into the rainforest in search of these gentle giants. Trekking times vary depending on the gorillas’ location.
Upon finding the family, spend one magical hour observing their daily lives, interactions, and behaviors in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Following breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as “The Switzerland of Africa.”
Surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 scenic islands, Lake Bunyonyi offers the perfect setting to relax after your gorilla trekking adventure.
Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying the beautiful views or optional canoe excursions.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After a relaxed morning, travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park and the closest to Kampala.
The park is famous for its zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, and beautiful acacia woodland landscapes.
Depending on arrival time, enjoy an optional evening game drive or boat safari on Lake Mburo.

Day 10: Walking Safari and Return to Entebbe
Enjoy an early morning guided walking safari, one of the unique highlights of Lake Mburo National Park, offering an intimate wildlife experience on foot.
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe, making a stop at the Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping, and lunch.
Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop-off at your preferred location.
